Matrix Energy Group has expanded its horizons into the upstream sector of the economy through the establishment of Matrix Energy Exploration and Production Company Limited. Notably, in the 2020 DPR Marginal Field Bid Round, Matrix, alongside other industry players, secured the rights to operate the Atamba, Apani, and Igbomotoru marginal fields.

These awarded fields are as follows: Atamba field (PPL 211), Apani field (PPL 225), and Igbomotoru field (PPL 207). Leveraging a team of highly proficient industry experts with extensive expertise in exploration, development, and production, Matrix has initiated operations on these three marginal fields.

Moreover, we are actively assessing additional opportunities in the upstream asset landscape and are committed to participating in forthcoming bid rounds. Our objective is to replicate the successes we have achieved in our downstream business within the realm of Exploration and Production.
