Last week, Matrix Energy supported and participated in the NAPE July Technical/Business Meeting, held under the theme: “Unlocking Value from Abandoned and Suspended Wells: Techniques and Lessons from the Re‑Entry of AP‑1 and AT‑1 Wells.” Drawing from our direct operational experience, Anthony Ifediora from our Subsurface Team delivered a technical presentation that offered firsthand insights into the challenges and successes encountered during the re-entry of mature wells, showcasing practical solutions rooted in our fieldwork. Our Chief Technical Officer, Mr. Akinpelu Shittu, also featured as a panelist during the session, contributing expert perspectives on well re-entry strategies, reservoir optimization, and the broader implications for Nigeria’s upstream development.
